Environmental Clean Technologies Ltd (ECT.AX) Commences Trading on OTC Markets, Expands US Market Engagement

Melbourne, Sep 10, 2026 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Environmental Clean Technologies Ltd (googlechartASX:ECT) (googlechartECTHF:OTCMKTS) announced its ordinary shares have today commenced trading on the OTCQB Venture Market in the United States under the ticker symbol "ECTHF", following approval of the listing by OTC Markets Group.

The OTCQB listing gives U.S. retail and institutional investors direct access to invest and trade in ECT shares in U.S. dollars during U.S. market hours, enhancing liquidity and broadening the Company's shareholder base.

Highlights:

- ECT has commenced trading on the U.S. OTCQB Venture Market under the ticker "ECTHF", giving U.S. retail and institutional investors direct access to invest and trade in ECT shares in U.S. dollars during U.S. market hours.

- The listing enhances liquidity and broadens ECT's shareholder base as it builds its U.S. presence.

- The U.S. is one of the largest and most immediately addressable markets for ECT's technology platform, spanning both its PFAS remediation and MXenes.

- ECT's Flash Joule Heating (FJH) platform underpins its PFAS remediation technology, targeting both PFAS-contaminated soil and water.

- Through the recently announced acquisition of Xenica Materials Pty Ltd, ECT has extended FJH into advanced materials manufacturing, targeting growing near-term demand for MXenes in defence and industrial applications.

- The OTCQB listing supports ECT's engagement with U.S. regulators, strategic partners and commercial counterparties as it advances both sides of its technology platform toward commercialisation.

As previously announced, ECT's Flash Joule Heating (FJH) platform underpins its Rapid Electrothermal Mineralisation (REM) PFAS remediation technology, developed under an exclusive licence from Rice University, and subsequently expanded to cover the application of FJH to PFAS-contaminated adsorbents such as granular activated carbon (GAC) used in water treatment. Laboratory trials have demonstrated greater than 96% defluorination efficiency and PFOA removal of up to 99.98%.

ECT has also extended its FJH platform into advanced materials manufacturing through the acquisition of Xenica Materials Pty Ltd, which holds an exclusive licence from Rice University to commercialise FJH for the production of MXenes and two-dimensional amorphous carbon.

For more than a decade, MXenes have been recognised as one of the most promising classes of advanced materials. However, traditionally hazardous, hard-to-scale and costly production has confined the market stunting commercial adoption and leaving its full value unrealised.

The United States represents one of the largest and most immediately addressable markets for ECT's technology platform, with PFAS contamination affecting military installations, industrial sites, and municipal water systems across the country, alongside growing near-term demand for advanced materials such as MXenes in defence and electronics applications. The commencement of OTCQB trading supports ECT's engagement with U.S. environmental agencies, potential strategic partners, and commercial counterparties across these markets as the Company advances deployment of its technology platform.

Commenting on the listing, ECT Chairman, Faldi Ismail, said:

"Commencing trading on the OTCQB Venture Market is a significant milestone for ECT, opening the door for U.S. investors to participate directly in our growth for the first time. This listing is a deliberate step to establish our presence in the United States, one of our largest and most significant near-term commercial markets for our Flash Joule Heating platform, which today spans both PFAS remediation and advanced materials.

"The United States is one of the most significant and most urgent markets in the world for the applications this platform addresses, and as we advance our technology toward pilot-scale deployment and broader commercialisation, this listing gives us a stronger platform to engage directly with U.S. regulators, site operators, and strategic partners across each of these markets."
